Maptech was founded in 1989. Under a CRDA (Cooperative Research & Development Agreement) with the U.S. Government. Maptech led the way with the transition of U.S. nautical charts from paper to digital.  Maptech’s cartographic technical expertise and efficiencies have paved the way for digital charting solutions for sea, land and air.
